Uber will bring its home delivery service to Portugal this year
UberEats, which is already available in more than a hundred cities around the world, will arrive in Portugal by 2018
The Uber transport platform will begin operating its home delivery service, known as UberEats , in Portugal before the end of the year .
Sources of Uber confirmed today to Efe the imminent arrival of this service, that "represents a reinforcement of the investment" of the platform in Portugal, where it aspires to connect its users "with the best restaurants" of Lisbon.
"We want the gastronomic discovery and the delivery of meals to be quicker and more convenient for Lisboetas," Uber's general director in Portugal, Rui Bento, said in a statement.
UberEats, already available in more than a hundred cities around the world, intends that restaurants in the Portuguese capital, regardless of their size, can deliver their services at home through a logistics platform with the company's technology.
Uber considers that this option "will contribute to the growth of the sales of the associated restaurants", and that it will also provide useful information to "reach more customers in a simple and efficient way".
